It's that time of year again !!! We are planning the design of the 2014 CORN MAZE. We need your help in the design process. We have done everything from corporate logos to farm scene designs, and even WRAL Mike Maze's face cut into the field. If you have an idea, share it with us. If your idea is selected you will receive FREE a season pass to the corn maze.
6 acre corn maze. rope maze, straw maze and 10 acres of Fall Playground.
Ken's Korny Corn Maze, started in 2000, and has amazed and amused visitors since it's first day open. The maze is worked out as early as February where put on paper their ideas to turn six acres of a cornfield into two miles of twists and turns. It takes four men working in the field to make the patterns. The corn is about two feet tall when they start shaping and when they finally finished the first week of July it is head tall. To make the five-foot paths corn stalks are actually pulled out rather than cutting them, to avoid leCome out and see usaving dangerous stubs in the ground. The average time to maneuver the maze take 60-75 minutes. When you get in there, all you see is cornrows and blue sky. You might also hear some passing planes. Many planes often circle around to go over the field again, slowly and lower. You will get out there and learn about farm life and get some exercise, it's a lot of good, family fun.
Don't forget to get your pumpkins, fall decorations, fruits and veggies, plants and supplies!
Ken's Korny Corn Maze, started in 2000, and has amazed and amused visitors since it's first day open. Our maze also includes something that other mazes don't two rest stations. About every third of the way through the maze there is an open area provided with a tent, benches and water cooler to serve as a rest area.
