Legend has it this popular lookout located on the island of Oahu is actually the site of an ancient burial ground.  Not only have there been several reports of visitors experiencing strange feelings and sensations, supposedly when you drive on the road up to the lookout, you drive over ten distinct bumps but on the way back down, you only drive over seven.

The Kilauea Volcano – Hawaii
Located on the island of Hawai’i (commonly referred to as the Big Island), the Kilauea Volcano has been continusouly active since 1983.  According to scientific research, the volcano exploded in 1790, resulting in the deadliest eruption known to have occurred on land that is now part of the United States.  Researchers say as many as 5,400 warriors and their families who were on the volcano at the time of the eruption were killed.  Since then, stories about the ghost of the Huna Volcano Goddess, Madam Pele, appearing have persisted.  The ghost is allegedly seen wearing a long, flowy dress walking along forest roads.  Those who have seen her claim she often warns of impending explosions and even reputable scientists studying the volcano have reported seeing the ghost.

Pearl Harbor – Ford Island, Oahu
The site of the infamous attack on American soil during World War II, Pearl Harbor become the final resting place for 163 sailors who were tragically killed during the attack.  Today, Pearl Harbor (located on Ford Island) is a national historic landmark that commemorates that fateful day Sunday in 1941.  Residents of the island have reported strange incidents occurring in their homes including hearing disembodied voices and footsteps coming from empty rooms, objects being mysteriously moved, and appliances that are not plugged in suddenly and inexplicably turning on.  One of the most widely reported occurrences are the fog-like apparitions that are seen walking on the north side of the island, believed to be the ghosts of sailors who perished in the attack of Pearl Harbor.
