Hauntworld Hot News
Yes folks it’s that time again for Hauntworld Hot News. With this issue we’ll keep it brief. Why? Well Hanfadomas has already predicted most of our hot news. So now our new news is old news. Oh well…here we go.
Six Flags Over Texas was evacuated late Saturday after several major fights broke out at the Dallas area amusement park. Police said more than 50 officers were called to the park where three major fights had broken out. No one was injured, but the park had to be evacuated. Reports indicated about 36,000 people were in the park.
Six Flags New England Attempted to Break Guinness World Record for Most Lit Jack-O'-Lanterns . Six Flags sought the help of thousands of park guests and a supply of 30,000 pumpkins. The town of Keene , New Hampshire , with 28,952 pumpkins, held the current record.

Hauntworld.com has its own server! We basically had no choice because the traffic on the site has just grown and grown. Hauntworld.com averages about 65,000 visitors every single month from November through August. The traffic on the site triples in September then in October it goes off the hook. The costs to host the site on someone else’s server became cost prohibitive.
Expect a new Hauntworld.com very soon . Hauntworld, Inc. has contracted some of the best web designers to create new programs, which will enable Hauntworld.com to better serve, the haunted house community. Gail Cohen will continue to serve as chief webmaster for the site. We are hoping to unveil the new Hauntworld.com just after the Transworld Halloween Show. With the new Hauntworld.com you will be able to create haunter profiles, manage your haunt listings, upload videos, pictures, logos of your haunt, and so much more. We’re very excited!
Why does it take so long to produce a Hauntworld Magazine ? It takes a long time because we want to do it right. Anyone can cheat you out of your money and produce a magazine with 32 pages or less. We’d rather produce something with helpful articles, and real information that helps your business. Additionally we have another business, which takes up most of our time. Not to mention we actually own and operate some haunted houses, which keep us pretty busy in Aug/Sept/Oct. We want you to know that we truly try our best despite our shortcomings. Lastly we’re very sorry when we do not meet your expectations. Please feel free to email us anytime with your complaints or suggestions.
If you haven’t noticed an historic change of guard took place in Chicago . The normally distant and non-friendly Transworld Exhibits had a change in management and ownership. Gregg Steliga, new show manager has been so friendly with haunters, we’re wondering if he’s really a home haunter in disguise. What a difference a day and a year makes huh? The new owners and management team have embraced and acknowledged the importance of the haunt buyers and vendors. The new owners even took booth space at IAAPA to promote the haunt vendors, and treated every haunt vendor to a fancy steak dinner one evening at IAAPA. A year ago haunters were talking about starting new tradeshows, or worse. Now everyone is back to having fun, talking about the show, and excited to return to Chicago . I want to take my mask off (ahhh I meant hat off) and say thank you on behalf of the haunted house industry to the new ownership and management staff of Transworld Exhibits. Hauntworld.com asks you to support this show and support your vendors.
If you haven’t already heard the bad news about John Burton please read the following. We’re asking fellow haunters to help John through this tough time.
Larry,
I'm sure most everyone heard that John Burton is in the hospital for a brain aneurysm. Before he went in to the hospital he broke his laptop. I tried to have it fixed by Christmas but it was just not worth it. So I'm taking donations to help buy a new laptop and pay a few bills over the next two months while john is recovering. I've included a few photos so you have a better idea of what he's going through. You can make the check out to me and mail it to the address below if you wish to help out. Thanks John will appreciate this alot! If you have any questions please call.
Happy Holidays to You and Yours.
